I was born in the NYC area, which means I’m pretty picky about my bagels, but these Greek yogurt bagels are full of protein and healthy ingredients without sacrificing any of the flavor. Toast and top with Trader Joe’s everything-but-the-bagel seasoning and you’ve got a nutritious, protein-rich take on this breakfast staple! Greek Yogurt Everything Bagels
Ingredients
- 1 cup non-fat greek yogurt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with tinfoil.
- Combine dry ingredients in a bowl (stand mixer if you have one) and mix together evenly. Then add the Greek yogurt and mix until a rough dough forms, about 2-3 minutes.
- Dust your hands with flour and scoop dough out onto a floured work surface, then divide the dough into 4 pieces. Take each piece and and roll into a snake, and then pinch it closed into a ring.
- Spray the tinfoil with non-stick spray, and place the bagels onto the baking sheet with some space between them to rise. Brush the bagels with the egg wash and liberally sprinkle the everything seasoning onto them. Optionally, flip the bagels over and repeat if desired.
- Place the baking sheet into the oven and bake for 25 minutes, or until the bagels have turned a very light brown.
