Summer is slowly winding down, which means making the most of popsicle season while it’s still here! I used some of the leftover strawberry lemonade from a couple of posts ago to make these pops – they take a little while to freeze, but they’re so worth it! The best part about homemade popsicles? Being able to control the sugar content to allow for healthy dessert options while still beating the heat. What other flavor combos should I try?
Strawberry Lemonade Popsicles
Ingredients
- 4 cups Strawberry Lemonade See my recipe at https://thekitchenbachelor.com/strawberry-lemonade/
- 4-5 fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
Instructions
- If you don't want whole strawberry slices in your popsicles, then all you need to do is fill your popsicle molds according to the instructions that came with them and wait for them to freeze! This usually takes at least 4 hours, but I recommend overnight.
- To get strawberry slices throughout the popsicle is a bit more time consuming, but I definitely recommend it. Because the strawberry slices float, you'll need to freeze the popsicle in parts, at least 2, and maybe three depending on how many slices you want to fit in the popsicle. Fill the molds just high enough so that the popsicle stick will be able to reach the lemonade and freeze into it, and add 2 slices. Allow this to freeze solid, so you can take the lid off your molds and keep the popsicle stick in place. Now add more lemonade and a few strawberry slices, either filling the mold up the rest of the way, or leaving room for a third round if you choose. Obviously doing it three times will be more time consuming, but your popsicles will be packed with those delicious strawberry slices! That's all there is to it! Now just wait for them to freeze, and enjoy!
